What is Lactate Threshold?
Lactate threshold is probably the most used training term by coaches and athletes worldwide. However, there is wide controversy as of what lactate threshold really means as well as to what is the exercise intensity that elicits it. Lactate threshold is commonly known as the exercise intensity or blood lactate concentration at the one we can only sustain a high-intensity effort for a specific period of time.

Training at high intensities is probably the most valuable training for improving endurance but should be very, very limited since an athlete can quickly over-train when exercising above the lactate threshold.

Note: As it said above, be very careful about often training on/above your LT, it´s great but to be sure we recommend you to discuss how many times you should include LT improving in your training routine. This workout was set up by licensed coach so be sure it´s well-advised
